Aug. 7th—Guild Picnic (no program)
Sept. 4th—Program/Lecture: Sheri Wood of White Robin Designs will be here to share using various templates on our quilts. Quilting enthusiast, featured speaker and instructor, Sheri Wood has over 25 years experience quilting by machine and by hand. Since the fall of 2001, Sheri has been operating the custom machine quilting service at The Village Smithy Quilt Shop in Bishop Hill, IL. Sheri specializes in freehand quilting designs, putting a contemporary twist on traditional designs. She designs and markets tools and templates for quilting and teaches workshops on fabric dyeing, and quilting techniques.
Oct. 2nd—Program: “Shibori” (a form of dying fabric) by our very own guild member, Linda Berry.
Nov. 6th—Program/Lecture: “Tips, Tricks and Other Stuff ” by Mickey Depre. A one hour Power Point presentation featuring lots of tips and tricks plus movie demos of Various techniques, i.e. machine appliqué (my way!), binding, many quilts, etc. This will be followed by a short trunk show and of course a question and answer period.
Nov. 8th—Workshop: “Paintstiks: Make Any Fabric Your Own.”
